The only communication option of the Maynuo M9710 DC Load is a TTL serial port. The problem is that the port is not isolated. In fact the GND pin of the port is connected to the minus (-) input of the load.
The isolated cable sells for about $40 US (+Shipping). So I thought I would try to make one with materials I had in my lab. This is what I came up with:
A quick test with the Maynuo software shows that the cable works well at 115200 bps. The next step is to write a library in python for automation.
